National Animal Crackers Day | Funfetti Dip
When anyone would see National Animal Crackers Day on my food holiday list, they always said, without fail, “How in the world do you make animal crackers? Are you actually making animal crackers?”
Well, no, I’m not, and I really don’t know how they are done. However, if you want to know how to make homemade animal crackers, you can check out this quick Google search. 🙂
At first, my fear was that I would be making animal crackers. I really wanted to do something different. I was talking to Krystal about this dilemma and she suggested to make a sweet dip that I could just pair with store bought animal crackers. Enter this Funfetti Dip. A quick Google search for food blog inspirations found me this recipe: Eat Yourself Skinny’s Funfetti Dip.
I made some changes to the recipe that I found, which makes it non-“skinny”, but given the sweetness of it, you don’t need to be eating a whole lot anyway. This is the perfect dessert dish for a potluck. Everyone brings appetizer dips (including myself), but why not change it up a little bit and bring something for dessert?
Funfetti cake is one of my favorites, not only for taste, but it has sprinkles in it! Yay!
