National Catfish Day | Breaded Catfish (Long John Silvers Style)
I did it, I did it! I replicated the Long John Silvers batter for National Catfish Day, which I remember as being pretty awesome. I don’t eat fast food anymore (and Chick-fil-a doesn’t count, mmkay?), but I remember loving that freakin’ batter. I found a pretty legit-looking copycat recipe on food.com and it had really great reviews so I tried it out with the little bit of catfish that I purchased. Just like I remember it tasting!

Oh…my…goodness. You nailed it! I can just tell by looking at the photo. Mmmmm so crunchy with that mild white fish under that delightfully thick and crunch batter. I can smell the malt vinegar now.
I too, loved Long John Silvers as a kid. After my parents got divorced, my brother and I pretty much always convinced my dad to take us there since we knew my mom wouldn’t…lol!
HAHAHA hilarious! Yeah, I was shocked at how awesome this turned out!! Super simple too. And then I wanted Long John Silvers, not gonna lie.
