Our Experience at the WonderWorks Orlando Magic Comedy Dinner Show
Living just an hour from Orlando means we get to experience all that this wonderful city has to offer whenever we want! My kids are now at the age where they can weather the drive back and forth and with so much to in Orlando, we know it’ll be a frequent day visit now! (Ah, the beauty of no longer having a newborn.)
You all know Orlando as the home of Disney and Universal Studios, but it goes way beyond that! There are literally so many things for everyone to really enjoy. One attraction that I’ve always passed by when in Orlando (for I visited often when I was in college) but never had the chance to visit was WonderWorks. If you’ve driven along International Drive, you’ve seen it! It’s the large upside-down building that totally sticks out like a sore thumb. It’s massive and right on the main strip in Orlando.
WonderWorks is a science-focused indoor amusement park with three levels of nonstop “edu-tainment,” with over 100 hands-on and interactive exhibits that serve a STEM educational purpose to challenge the mind and spark the imagination. You’ll find a glow-in-the-dark ropes course, laser tag, 4D XD motion theater, and Wonder Zones, which include exhibits on natural disasters, space discovery, light and sound zone, imagination lab and more. This attraction is over 35,000 square feet!
WonderWorks is also home to The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show, which we had the pleasure of experiencing the other night with Max. As a three-year-old, his mind was blown and, to be honest, so was mine. I have always loved magic tricks because I’m amazed each time and never know how anything is done. I guess that speaks to the fact that I have no perception ability whatsoever, but it’s fine because it’s so fun to not know how the magic is performed.
This Magic Comedy Dinner Show featuring world-renowned magician Tony Brent was truly entertaining. I thought Tony was so funny and flawless in his magic performance. The show was interactive and exciting and it’s fun for all family members.
Tony even reenacted the “Straightjacket Escape”, a la Harry Houdini.
For the entire 45 minutes, he had the audience laughing, clapping, and interacting. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it! If you’re in the area or visiting, I do recommend that you book tickets for this entertaining show! Throughout the month of July, there will be three shows to choose from, including 4 pm, 6 pm, and 8 pm. Dinner show guests can enjoy a meal of unlimited hand-tossed pizza that is made fresh in-house, as well as salad, dessert, and unlimited drinks, including beer and wine. Totally worth it!
Plus, know this: this is the largest running magic dinner show in the world AND was named “One of America’s Ten Best Magic Shows” by the Travel Channel. Purchase tickets now so you don’t miss out! There is still time to make sure you catch this amazing show.
