Date Nut Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dried dates
- 2 1/4 cup boiling water
- 3 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300*F.
- Combine baking soda with water. Soak dates for 30 minutes.
- Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs, vanilla, dates, nuts, flour, and salt.
- Bake for 1 hour.
