My Healthy Mom Habits with Hyperbiotics
There are so many things to keep in mind when you’re are about to start trying for a child, are currently trying, when you’re pregnant, postpartum, while breastfeeding, as your child grows and you heal, etc. Before I got pregnant with Max, and now currently, I made sure to start my healthy mom habits early. I’ve read that prenatals and healthier eating is something you should make sure to start doing a couple of months before you start trying for a baby. It’s all to help get your body ready and to also get your mind ready.
You can kick a bad habit in 21 days and you can also start a new habit if you stick to a 21-day routine. I haven’t always been good about taking vitamins – remembering to take a pill a day used to be just beyond my grasp, leaving me with a sporadic schedule of multi-vitamins. When my husband and I decided we’d start trying for our first child, I was determined to do everything possible to prepare my body and continue to nourish myself and my baby once I became pregnant.
I started a routine of taking my prenatal pills. As my husband and I start talking about a second child, I’ve stepped my healthy habits up a notch, including incorporating Hyperbiotics Pro-Moms into my routine. I’ll just be honest and say that I am not known for having the most rock solid gut of all time. I’m lactose intolerant and beyond that I never really know what’s going to set it off. Since taking Hyperbiotics, I’ve noticed a difference in my gut health and regularity. I encourage everyone to #followyourgut and try Hyperbiotics from Target. Plus, Hyperbiotics formulas are vegetarian, non-GMO, and free of lactose, gluten, and sugar. There is also no soy, iron, nuts, artificial flavors, artificial colors, or preservatives!
Not only that, but Hyperbiotics Pro-Moms has so many nutrients for a growing baby, or a mom who is just in the preparation phase (which is a pretty major phase!) I’m so pleased that it has all the necessary nutrients and vitamins, plus promotes the natural production of B vitamins and contains natural folate.
As much as possible, I try to follow an organic, non-GMO, all-natural lifestyle. It’s healthy for me and for my family, ridding our home of pesticides and preservatives. Below are some of the habits I’ve formed, and further developed when I was pregnant with Max. I very rarely look back. With these new habits, incorporating Hyperbiotics will be a breeze and will help make this a more rounded wellness list.
EAT FRUIT
We always keep so much fruit in the house. I like to incorporate fruit into smoothies, as a side to eggs for breakfast, as a quick snack, or even for dessert while curled up with my favorite TV show. We purchase all organic fruit, especially those that appear on the Dirty 15 list. The last thing I was to consume are pesticides and anything else that may be living on non-organic fruit.
With kiwi being such a wonderful source of fiber, I eat at least one kiwifruit every other day. I welcomed surprise is Hyperbiotics is made with kiwifruit!
USE ALL-NATURAL BEAUTY PRODUCTS
Did you know that as a pregnant woman, you should not use many of the skin care and makeup items that might currently be in our arsenal? Yeah, I didn’t either. In fact, my doctor’s office when I was pregnant with Max didn’t even tell me. I happened to read an article that happened to catch my eye as I happened to be mindlessly scrolling through Facebook. You know how it goes. What if I had never seen it?
After doing a lot of research, I couldn’t get a straight answer as to what exactly was not okay to use so I cut everything out. I started washing my face with a gentle all-natural cleanser and only went back to the other stuff once I was done breastfeeding. I wanted to use the product I do have, but my switch to 100% all-natural beauty products is seriously right around the corner.
I’ve been trying out new beauty boxes where I get a box of deluxe samples sent to my door every month. I want to see which ones I like before I spend a fortune figuring it out at the store. Your skin is your biggest organ and I’m determined to take care of mine in the best way I can. This includes deodorant, face wash, moisturizer and makeup.
DRINK SO MUCH WATER
…like, more than you think you can handle. While pregnant, I got into the habit of drinking (close to) a gallon a day. My doctor told me that in pregnancy, a gallon a day is the goal because you really do need more water for everything your body is handling. Plus, we all know the benefits of water consumption. always have my water bottle near me, making it easy and convenient to get my daily pills in.
To help, I like to add fresh fruit to my water.
By having these habits, I feel so much better overall, pregnant or not. It’s a lifestyle change to be sure, but totally worth it!
