Satisfying Asian-Inspired Simplicity >> Teriyaki Madness, Wesley Chapel

Teriyaki Madness Wesley Chapel 3

After living our whole lives in Tampa, my husband and I chose to purchase our first home in Wesley Chapel, just a little farther north. We wanted to get the most bang for our buck and knew that there was a lot in store for the area. We’ve been really excited about everything new coming to Wesley Chapel and the surrounding area and the new Teriyaki Madness at Wiregrass Mall is no exception.

We very recently tried some of the dishes at Teriyaki Madness and (spoiler alert) loved it all. I mean, truly, already making plans for our next stop for a family meal.

Here are just some things I love about Teriyaki Madness:

  • They make the majority of their sauces in-house. And that goes a long way for flavor and just trusting the brand, ya know? The fact that they took enough care to craft and perfect their sauces just says a ton to me.
  • They can make dishes keto or vegan. I’m not vegan and I don’t eat keto, but I really appreciate the fact that they realize that their customers may be eating in a certain way.
  • They are gluten-friendly. See above. Sometimes I just don’t want gluten and I’m happy I can still enjoy the vast majority of their menu.
  • You can customize your veggies. Their vegetables include broccoli, cabbage, onion, carrots, and zucchini. I happen to like all of these, but if you don’t, or if you simply have an affinity for a ton of zucchini, you can order it that way.

Now to the goods. First, you have three different bowl sizes to choose from which I appreciate.

Then, the largest part of their menu is the build your own bowl option. Pick a base (rice or all vegetables, or fried rice or noodles for just $1 more), then pick a protein (including tofu).

We like to share dishes a lot and with the kids, we figured we might as well order a large two protein bowl with Spicy Steak and Katsu Chicken with all veggie options and white rice.

I could definitely see myself order the large and having a lunch and dinner meal. And at under $12 it’s a steal! The chicken was perfectly crispy and the spicy steak had some heat to it, but mostly it was the flavoring that was so spot-on. If you don’t think you’re a spicy food lover, think again and just try this one out.

Because I’m a noodle fiend, we also ordered the yakisoba noodles with vegetables.

Again, flavoring was so delicious and the kids devoured this dish. I loved that the vegetables still maintained some crunch because often you have dishes like this and everything is the same texture.

Speaking of crunch, we ordered the Potstickers too.

Yes, hello. Nothing bad to say about these.

Last but certainly not least, I ordered the Macaroni Salad at the suggestion of Scott, the owner. I’ve always appreciated a good macaroni salad, but sometimes you get these large chunks of the super crunchy stuff like celery and onion.

HOWEVER, the macaroni salad at Teriyaki Madness had such finely chopped onions, celery, carrots and herbs that I didn’t have to navigate around anything that I didn’t love. And this was a side dish that was all mine. I took some home and had it for dinner.

We really did have a blast at Teriyaki Madness at Wiregrass Mall in Wesley Chapel. I was so impressed with the menu options and the quick service. Max even got to enjoy his meal with a chork!

Silly boy

The team at Teriyaki Madness was so friendly and welcoming and beyond fast with our food, which is seriously a dream for parents with kids who are hungry or cranky. Teriyaki Madness is right across the street from Build-A-Bear in Wiregrass Mall so you have plenty of parking lot options if street parking at the mall is full.

A huge thank you to the Teriyaki Madness team for hosting us and providing our family with a meal that literally had my son asking when we could go back!
