7 Reasons I Love Beautycounter

I’ve done it. I’ve become obsessed with Beautycounter. Enough that I joined as an actual consultant. Yes, me. The girl who has literally never signed up as a consultant for anything else ever in my life — not those jewelry companies, not that clothing company with the “made for all” leggings, not anything.

In fact, I’m the world’s worst salesperson. I talk about my experience in “sales,” plus why I become a Beautycounter consultant in this post. This post you’re on right now is to share WHY I love Beautycounter so much, like all the benefits of this company and what you can expect from their products and service. These are the reasons why I started using their products in the first place, despite being hesitant in the beginning (admittedly!), and why I jumped at the chance to share this company with others.

The 7 reasons I love Beautycounter

1. They have The NEVER List.

As you can imagine, a never list is composed of the ingredients they prohibit from their products. The list is made up of approximately 1,500 harmful or questionable ingrients, including the nearly 1,400 cosmetic ingredients banned or restricted in the European Union.

The pocked-sized version include benzalkonium chloride, BHA and BHT, coal tar hair dyes, EDTA, ethanolamines, formaldehyde, hydroquinone, methylisithiazolinone, oxybenzone, Parabens, phthalates, polyethylene glycol, retinal palmitate and retinol, sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate, synthetic flavor or fragrance, toluene, triclosan and triclocarban.

2. Even their packaging is made responsibly.

Product packaging matters. We should start caring about the environment and purchasing from companies that care too is driving the point home that it actually all matters. Beautycounter restricts PVC and BPA and opt instead for glass, paper and safer plastic materials.

3. They never test their products on animals.

It is unbelievably sad to me to see that we are still testing products on animals. I’m glad these labs are being brought to light so we can all do something about it. Until it’s eliminated for good, I make sure to only purchase products from companies who commit to no animal testing. You can scan items at the store using the Cruelty Cutter app.

4. Beautycounter tests for 10 different heavy metals three times.

Let that sink in. Did you know that there are so many heavy metals in conventional skin care and beauty products? Possible effects of heavy metal buildup in our bodies over time include scary situations like cancer, heart damage and neurological effects.

Beautycounter often have zero or “no detect” levels and they have set their allowable limits at or below the strictest international guidance on acceptable trace levels of heavy metal impurities in cosmetics.

5. Their screening and sourcing practices are top-notch.

Using the best available sources, Beautycounter screens every potential ingredient for information on specific hazards like cancer, developmental toxicity, hormone disruption and infertility. They also third party test their products.

They also choose the best organic, natural, sustainable and synthetic ingredients that meet their standards. Over 80% of product ingredients are natural or plant-derived.

6. It’s all available in one place.

Need something for yourself, your husband and your kids? Beautycounter has it all. You can get skin care products, cosmetics, sunscreen, kids’ body wash and so much more.

7. Beautycounter’s return policy is unmatched.

Don’t like a product you’ve purchased for whatever reason? You have 60 days to return it! That means you have been using the product (because sometimes it take a minute to see results or for your skin to get used to something new) and just figured that it doesn’t fit what you were looking for.

Plus, Beautycounter includes a return label with every package, making this process seamless and easy.

And the benefits don’t end there! I could go on and on about all the wonderful things this company is doing. Let me know if you’d like to learn more.
