National Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day | Cran-Raspberry Lime Cocktail

Three hundred twenty-three days into 2014 and you would think that certain food holidays wouldn’t surprise me, but once again, they have me scratching my head in confusion. Yes, I do enjoy carbonated, caffeinated beverages, but who would even think to make a National Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day? And if you did, I hope you contributed something much better alongside it like National Cold Cuts Day ^[4] and National Cream Puff Day ^[5].

But back to beverages. I talked a lot about wanting a SodaStream and my husband, who actually listens to all my drivel, bless his heart, got me one. I am the proud owner of a SodaStream, and have been for about six months now, yet I just tried to make it myself for the first time for this post (Mike makes all the soda in our home) and I exploded water everywhere. Whoops.

But look! It came together just fine, a nice (strong) adult beverage with a squirt of lime. Enjoy as your mid-week hump day drink.
