So a week or so ago, I read my friend Krystal’s blog [4] post where she made movie snacks, one of which was a sundae (of sorts). She used orange sherbet and topped with Magic Shell’s Rainbow Sherbet flavor and even some sour Mike & Ike candies. In a word, it looked DELICIOUS. I love rainbow sherbet, and sprinkles, and basically magic shell is amazing.
For National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, I wanted to create a magical concoction that was extraordinary. I wanted to create a large enough sundae that you would think “whoa, that’s gotta contain all of the ice cream in the world, right there”. But no friends, I couldn’t possibly eat all of the ice cream that I wanted to put into a sundae and why let any deliciousness go to waste? Also, quite honestly, I made chocolate chip cookies and had a huge salad for dinner. I was full.to.the.brim.
Instead, I figured that the magic shell was amazing enough all on its own. I mean, really, come on. Just look at it. Take some scoops of strawberry ice cream, hot fudge, rainbow sherbet magic shell, and my favorite – maraschino cherries – and you have a pretty tasty treat.
I hope you are celebrating hot fudge sundaes today because you’re a fool if you aren’t!
