National Apple Pie Day | Apple Pie Pound Cake

National Apple Pie Day | Individual Apple Pie

Apple pie is so classic, so American, as some would say. There’s been songs about it, and it’s a traditional dessert for any 4th of July party. People eat it a la mode or on its own. A la mode is always better, if you’re asking me. In a dessert, I love the combination of hot and cold. A warm apple pie served with vanilla ice cream is such a beautiful melding of everything that is good with the world.

Well, for National Apple Pie Day, I wanted to change things up a little bit. I didn’t want to just make an apple pie, and that’s for a couple of reasons. First, there are so many apple pie recipes out there that I don’t know that I can make one better. When it comes to apple pie, it’s not like I want to create a take on a classic and change it up. Then, I wanted it to be easy. You see, I have a lot of work to do today and all I want is to be able to do it in a timely manner and also to just eat my apple pie already.

So consider this my semi-homemade apple pie dessert that’s actually not even homemade at all.

Apple Pie Pound Cake
